The Indian Railway is 152 years old. The month of April is the birth month of Indian Railways. To the amazement of the world railway communities, IR continues to make strides in the transportation business. While world over, the railways are found to be loss making, the Indian Railways is probably the only railways system to make huge profits due to the determination of the dynamic Railway Minster Shri Lalu Prasad Yadav ,the dedication of the 14 lakh employees and officers and the massive patronage by the traveling public and the industrial and commercial houses. The first railway line in India covering a 34 kilo Meters between Boribunder( Bombay) and Thane was opened to traffic on 16th April ,1853. A small seed was sown on April 16, 1853 when three locomotives SULTAN, SAHIB and SIND hauled a small passenger train of 400 and odd passengers on joy ride from Bombay to Thane. This marks the Railway Week Celebrations India. In the South, the first railway line was opened on 1st July, 1856 between Vyesarpaudy and Walajah Road (Arcot) a distance of 101 kilo Meters. Today the Southern Railway is 90 % BG railways system and marching ahead to achieve the highest point of efficiency.

The French Railway Company SCNF Alstom Transport and the French Railway Infrastructure have made the trial run of their prototype train that travels at the speed of 574.8 KMPH. The block and chrome train with three double-decker cares named the V150 bettered the previous record of 515.3 kmph set in 1990 by the French fast train. If this train travels in India,,,,,

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

One day a young boy named Phillip was swimming in his wealthy parents’ swimming pool in England. Suddenly he lost balance and was struggling to keep from drowning. He let out a powerful cry for help. No one was in the vicinity. However, Alex, the gardener’s son heard his cries for help but for whose help Phillip could have very well drowned under the water. Alex came running and he jumped in and rescued Phillip after a struggle. Philip’s parents were so grateful and they asked the gardener and his wire how they could repay their son Alex for having saved their son. The parents said that Alex wished desperately that he could have an education, because he very much wanted to become a doctor. Phillip’s grateful family arranged for Alex to continue his education and the year passed the young man indeed became a doctor. Meanwhile Phillip also grew up and become in important figure in politics. One day he lay critically ill in a hospital. No medicine helped and it seemed he would certainly die. Dr Alex was called in. he and his fellow researcher had just discovered an amazing substance that was powerful in curing certain cases of the same illness. Dr Alex prescribed this medicine to the sick man. To the amazement and relief of everyone, Phillip recovered. He said to Dr Alex”it is not often that a man’s life has been saves twice by the same person’.
